I’m hitting the double digits this week, as it is officially week 10 of my internship (again, where is my cake?). It took me 10 weeks but I’ve officially been trusted with keys which is kind of a big deal (for nobody except me of course)! But it is the little things that count in life and I’m very proud of my keys, it was very satisfying to open the door this morning!
This week I’ve seen the growth of the Mother’s Day competition campaign I’ve been working on the past few weeks and I’m proud to say a lot of people are entering it! I’ve also wrote a blog for the Jewellery Quarter website on some tips and attractions this part of town has to offer. So if you’re new to the area, you’re thinking of moving or if you wander what the place is all about have a look!
In the past few days I’ve also done a lot of SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation. So far I’ve improved a few websites with meta descriptions and keywords and I’m proud to say they are still alive and kicking so I haven’t messed it up (Go me!) I’ve also researched and learned how to improve the click through rate on a website over another by adding Goggle’s rating stars on organic searches. I particularly enjoyed learning and researching the topic because it can make a massive visual difference for a website over another. Local businesses need to be perceived as trustworthy by clients and stars are a clear visual sign of trust.
This week I’ve also met my dissertation supervisor for the first time, all my deadlines are for the next few days and I plan on moving flats this weekend, not a busy week at all… It’s all about organisation and planning (she says in the middle of a nervous breakdown)!
This was my week in a few paragraphs, I’ll keep you updated on next week’s shenanigans!
