The Intern’s FINAL Diary | Allyce | Entry 4

Picture it. The sun is setting, ‘time to say goodbye’ by Andrea Bocelli is playing softly in the background as I walk dramatically off into the sunset…

Except, I’m not. I’m sat in the office with Doris on my lap writing my last blog as an intern. But don’t worry too much! You can’t get rid of me that easily. I’m very happy to say that I have been offered a position at Strategy Plus managing our SEO clients, just call me Feds 2.0. March has been my first month taking on all of the SEO work and I feel as though I’ve managed well, with some guidance from Feds, of course. I’m enjoying settling into my new role and am really grateful that I’ve been given the oppurtunity by Dan to work for an Inbound Marketing Agency. It feels great knowing that I’m in a job where I can put my degree to good use.

Anyway, enough about me, we’ve had a busy month here at Strategy Plus. We celebrated International Women’s Day, you can see our girl-power photos below. We had to include Doris, she has a very valid role at the company; who else would require so much attention if it wasn’t for her? Obviously, we don’t like to discriminate, so the whole team including the men celebrated International Women’s Day with lunch from The Hive, a popular choice amongst the Strategy Plus family.

International Women's Day

Along with the fun of International Women’s Day, we also celebrated Tash’s twenty-something birthday! Unfortunately for us, she wasn’t here on her Birthday, fortunately for her, she was in beautiful Rome instead! When she got back, we celebrated with presents, cakes (courtesy of Feds) and samosas (courtesy of Tash). You can see the delicious photos below!

But it wasn’t all fun and celebrations this month! As I said, this was my first month in my official role. I have completed the SEO, along with taking on a few other roles. I am now managing the social media for two clients which has given me a new set of skills and more responsibility. Since starting at Strategy Plus, I have gained a much broader knowledge of online marketing and my internship gave me the chance to learn practical skills, thankfully leading to my position here and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Well, that’s all from me! I had a great internship with Strategy Plus and I’m thrilled that I am able to continue working with colleagues that have become friends and doing a job I really enjoy. Hopefully, now that I’m an official member of staff, I might make the team page (hint, hint…)

Thanks for reading, I’ll have to leave you in the trusty hands of Mike for future Intern Diary’s. I know, I know, you’re all so disappointed, but his diary entries are almost as good as mine…

It’s been great writing for you,
